Shakira is a London-based actor and writer. British Vincentian and grew up in Surrey. Shakira has a Bachelors degree in Drama from Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as training in accredited part-time drama schools in London, such as Identity School of Acting, Actors Door Studios and The London Meisner Company. In her career, Shakira has performed in a short film, a play, and two times as a solo performer on stage. At the beginning of 2022, she wrapped on short Relationship Status. Her theatre credits include Maktub Theatre Companies UBUNTU, and her other stage credits include the Shareef Energy Convention at the Tate Modern Museum - Natalie Bell Building, Blankspace Tooting. Her writing credits include I know, I wish, I will were her work was published in an anthology by Eastside Educational Trust, Relationship Status R.O.L.A Productions.

In 2021, Shakira wrote, directed and starred in Relationship Status, a short film that focuses on relationships in modern day society, social media and lack of communication.

Shakira is currently part of the Soho House mentorship by the Creative Mentorship Network, where under the guidance of an industry professional is in the first stages of writing a pilot for a drama series. This will focus on the untold stories of the Global Majority.
